THE PROJECT
Take a unique journey through this immersive, multimedia experience where the participant is at the heart of the performance. A promenade piece that invites you to be bold, curious and involved. Adventure with the protagonist, across the landscapes of England, Bolivia and America, through the cycle of desire. Explore the unknown, discover and examine your own experiences of attraction, passion, loss and seeking.
Inspired by The Songbook of Sebastian Arrurruz, a poem by Geoffrey Hill, this collaboratively produced work is designed to resonate beyond the performance. Participants are lured into Sebastian’s Room where concepts of outside and gallery space and the idea of artist and audience are called into question and played with using film, interaction and performance. An individual journey is created as the participant is led into the immersive environment of Sebastian’s Room. The adventure unfolds through performance, film, sound, props, smell and state of the art 3D printing technology to create a rich, sensory space. Here participants are asked to reflect and respond on their physical spiritual and emotional experiences of attraction and where it has led them.
